Taishou Kongou

Taishou Kongou was named Daitenrin Oo or Kongoushu. He has been told as a secret Buddha image since the ancient time. Though the explanations are different a little according to each of Tendai shu, Ninnaji-temple and Daigoji-temple, he is the Buddha image based on Niregi Kyo. His main image expresses the enlightenment of ordinary people and Kongoushu expresses the power to let all the ordinary people in ignorance attain the mind of enlightenment. He has 12 arms and 5 topknots in the treasure crown.
